ATI Mission Statement
- The Arborist Training Institute® is the only arborist® training organization in Japan recognized by the ISA (International Society of Arboriculture), an international organization based in the United States. We aim to spread arborist skills and knowledge throughout Japan.
- We support students in obtaining the internationally recognized ISA Certified Tree Worker® / Climber Specialist credential.
- We support students in obtaining the Tree Climbing Arborist® qualification, certified by JAA/ATI and recommended by ISA.
- We offer arborist® techniques that meet international safety standards, divided into a range of courses and adapted to job needs and to Japan’s climate and trees.
- Beyond spreading arborist® techniques in Japan, ATI places special emphasis on TARS aerial rescue seminars and works to prevent workplace accidents in the arborist® industry.

JUGOSHI ARBORIST®︎ CHALLENGE
The main purpose of the JAC Jugoshi Arborist® Challenge is to raise the quality of arborist skills and improve team safety. Since 2003, the Arborist® Training Institute (ATI) has trained about 6,500 students. JAC is a team work-skills competition, designed so that the tasks professionals carry out efficiently and safely in their daily work carry over directly into the competition events.
